Councilman Bill Gates invites Sunnyslope business owners to participate in an open discussion about what the city of Phoenix can do to better address their business needs. The open discussion will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the Eye Opener Restaurant, 524 W. Hatcher Road.
On July 22, Councilman Gates met with 10 area business owners and discussed the continued efforts for making Sunnyslope a destination for businesses, community events and visitors, and the continued work of the Sunnyslope Business Alliance in creating a website to promote Sunnyslope as a vibrant retail destination. Other issues discussed included reversible lanes, homelessness, graffiti, adaptive reuse and business licensing.
